Five research groups, belonging to four universities (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Universiteit Gent, KU Leuven and Universiteit Antwerpen) have joined their forces to compose an 11-strong and diverse consortium that carries out the investigation. Each member has excellent track-record in their own discipline. This consortium combines the expertise of top-quality senior and junior scholars in economics, history, sociology, demography, political sciences, and physics.
